In recent years, Joseph’s Alumnae Association of Chandannagar (“JAAC”) has been making significant strides in growing its alumni program. This framework, which establishes the path forward for the next five years, identifies areas of focus for JAAC, all intended to promote a deeper and more enriching relationship amongst the alumni of St. Joseph’s Convent, Chandannagar (“SJC”). With this plan as its road map, the Governing Body of JAAC will develop detailed work plans, evaluate annual progress toward goals and update the plan’s strategies and corresponding goals accordingly.
Help all alumni discover the power of life long engagement and to create an unwavering sense of belonging within the alumni community of SJC.
A vibrant and flourishing alumni community benefits individual alumni, as well as JAAC. We will evaluate ways to ensure that relevant, meaningful opportunities to facilitate alumni-to-alumni connections are available to all alumni members.
Broaden the scope of alumni cultivation efforts through online and in-person outreach and networking. Maintain a database of members, and keep it updated.
Develop and promote opportunities for alumni to use their JAAC connection as a catalyst for direct interaction with one another (for social events, career networking, service,etc.).
Support the alma mater in any way required – through outreach, service and other projects, to be decided in consultation with SJC.
Mentoring connections between alumni and newer alumni that supports newer alumni, through opportunities such as career mentoring, internships etc.
Constitute and implement a JAAC Fund to help alumni in times of emergency or need, including raising funds and develop programs.
Employ means of communications (including the Facebook Alumni Group) to effectively reach alumni, resulting in meaningful dialogue and increased alumni engagement.
